Álvaro Siza Vieira is a Portuguese architect graduated in the Porto School of Fine Arts between 1949 and 1955. His first work was built in 1954.
Was a professor at the School of Fine Arts and later at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Porto. Won several national and international awards, including the Pritzker Prize in 1992. His works are scattered throughout Portugal and around the world, such as the Boa Nova Tea House (Matosinhos, Portugal), Bonjour Tristesse Building (Berlin, Germany).
